First Prize in the Dancing Poetry Competition 2020
My first cash prize was in the Dancing Poetry contest through Artists Embassy International.
Had I won Grand Prize I would have had my poem set to dance by Poetic Dance Theatre Company. However, I was thrilled with my first place prize and lovely certificate.
SHORT LISTED for the Hysteria Writing Competition
My poem has been published in Hysteria 6 in November, 2017 along with other shortlisted entrants!
As a bonus, proceeds help support the Hysterectomy Association; a social enterprise providing information and support to women worldwide

I entered both poetry and prose and was surprised that I made the long list in the poetry category. I don't consider poetry my strong point, but all those workshops must be paying off.

Long Listed at Fish Publishing! May 2012
I was long listed in the Fish Publishing Flash Fiction 2012 competition for a story called "Amputee"
For those who may not know, flash fiction is very short stories. This particular competition had a 300 word limit!
